While Mike was flirting with the waitress Jake was watching some highlights. He began shaking his head while watching it. He doesn’t hate basketball, he just hates the new style of play. Mike loves it.
So much until he stops his flirting and starts screaming. Jake tells him to be quiet.
Mike listens as he approaches Jake laughing. Jake doesn’t think it’s the sport he grew up loving.
When Mike sits at the table he mentions to Jake “Lighten up. The game has changed now.” Jake replies that he knows. He just hates it. When Jake watches these college athletes, he remembers his fundamental playing days. He was young but, he knew that he loved the sport. He knew about the stars that played there. The most recent one is NBA player Shabazz Napier. Despite his love for them, he’s honest. Mike isn’t like Jake. Huskies are the sixth all-time. So each time they are involved, it’s exciting. My friends in the community often played when we were young. I recall when I played against a few of the kids in my community.
